Haunted Traverse is a locally rooted storytelling and experiential platform based in Traverse City, Michigan, where an ordinary woman explores an uncommon path through paranormal history, ghost stories, nature-based living, and intuitive exploration. Best known for its guided ghost and walking tours, Haunted Traverse offers visitors and readers the opportunity to engage with the legends, folklore, and lesser-known histories of Northern Michigan through thoughtful storytelling, research, and lived experience.
Beyond the tours, this website is also home to several interconnected creative projects. Crone in a Haunted Woods is a reflective journal of earth-based spirituality, tiny house living, and life lived quietly at the edge of a haunted forest.
Ghost Farm Gardens documents the slow creation of a cut-flower and photography farm rooted in beauty, seasonality, and reverence for the land. Not just to be viewed, the Ghost Farm Gardens offers workshops and u-pick events for all to explore and enjoy.
Together, these tours and projects form a living archive of stories gathered from the seen and unseen — shaped by curiosity, intuition, and a deep connection to place.
Most of what you’ll find here — the tours, writing, research, and land-based projects — is created and cared for by me, Dez, with occasional support from trusted guides. Experience ghostly tales & residents' colorful stories. Learn the language of the dead with the iconography of the headstones we pass. Enjoy a lasting memory at Oakwood Cemetery. (Materials for grave rubbing available if weather permitting.

Special October Ghost Investigation. Campfire ghost stories and interactive ghost hunting experience at a reported haunted farm. Led by an experienced ghost hunter, our guests do the hunting!
After Dark Ghost Tour
June-October
The after dark ghost tour explores the ghostly activity in a location in Traverse City called Olde Towne. **Tours can be added to calendar by special request with groups of 5+
Historical Ghost Lantern Tour
Spring-Fall
Explore Downtown Traverse City's history of origin, history, local ghost stories, & admire beautiful downtown architecture. The tour has some humor, theatrical story telling by local guides. Some insight into paranormal investigation techniques.
Ghost Hunting Experience
Fri & Sat, June- September
An interactive ghost hunting experience at a reported haunted farm. Led by an experienced ghost hunter, our guests do the hunting! Equipment is provided, the location is 20 minute drive south of T.C.
